Evaluation Procedure & Internal Assessment System

THE PROCEDURE/SYSTEM OF EVALUATION OF CIA:

  1. It is a must that each student should attend all the components of internal assessment. Otherwise, the assessment will not be complete.
  2. Continuous Internal Assessment is done throughout the semester as per university norms and guidelines.
  3. Two internal tests will be conducted in each semester as per the time table released by the Controller of Examination. The re-test is conducted only for those candidates approved by the Principal depending on circumstances.
  4. The scheme of evaluation is given in the table below.
  5. Continuous Internal Assessment marks will be displayed on the noticeboards within a week after the term closes. Students are required to sign the Internal Assessment register.
  6. Any discrepancy noticed by the students, in their CIA and Attendance should be brought to the notice of the respective lecturers.
  7. The applications of the students whose progress, based on the performance in the terminal examinations is not satisfactory, will not be recommended for the end semester examination.
  8. Attendance to Personality development and national festivals is obligatory.
  9. Attendance to the basic Theology and Value education classes are obligatory.
  10. The students will lose their internal assessment marks if found absent for the classes. Utmost attention is given to the grievances of the students. The grievances are handled in the following manner. All grievances related to internal tests including re-tests, assignments and attendance should be brought to the notice of concerned HOD/ Controller of Examination/ Principal.
  11. Retotalling / Photo Copying and Revaluation of the University exam marks shall be brought to the notice of Principal.

ASSESSMENT / EVALUATION PROCEDURE UNDER CIA

The assessment will be based on knowledge, intelligence, applications, understanding the concept of the subject and creativity. The system of evaluation is based on objectivity, transparency and accountability.

Revised NEP/ SEP

Continuous Internal Assessment and Semester Examination As per SEP, the IA and SEE to Carry 20% and 80% weightage each, to enable the course to be evaluated for a total of 100/50 marks. The evaluation system of the course is comprehensive and continuous for during the entire period of the semester.
